한국교통자산운용, 8억 달러 글로벌 인프라펀드 조성
한국교통자산운용(KOTAM)은 글로벌 사모펀드 아이스퀘어드캐피탈(ISQ)과 전략적 제휴를 맺고 8억 달러(약 1조 원)규모의 해외 인프라 대출펀드를 조성한다고 10일 밝혔다.
KOTAM이 ISQ와 함께 조성하는 해외 인프라펀드는 투자처가 정해지지 않은 블라인드 펀드로, 미국과 유럽, OECD 국가들의 에너지와 수도 전기 가스, 데이터센터 등 우량 인프라 대출상품에 투자한다.
해당펀드에는 NH투자증권과 국내 기관투자자들이 총 8억 달러를 출자할 예정이다.
그동안 항공기 펀드와 선박 펀드를 운용해 온 KOTAM은 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 위기에도 가치를 잃지 않는 우량 자산인 해외 인프라 시장으로 운용 자산을 다각화한다는 계획이다.
KOTAM은 “국내 기관 투자자들에 대한 이해도를 바탕으로 앞으로 ISQ에 국내출자자들이 선호하는 투자 방향을 제시할 계획”이라고 말했다.
한편, ISQ는 운용기금 140억 달러(약 15조 원) 규모의 미국 기반 대체투자 사모펀드이다.

Korea Transportation Asset Management (KOTAM) announced on the 10th that it will form an overseas infrastructure loan fund worth $800 million (about KRW 1 trillion) through a strategic alliance with the global private equity fund Ice Square Capital (ISQ).
The overseas infrastructure fund created by KOTAM with ISQ is a blind fund with no investment destination, and invests in high-quality infrastructure loan products such as energy, water, electricity, gas, and data centers in the United States, Europe, and OECD countries.
NH Investment & Securities and domestic institutional investors will invest a total of 800 million dollars in the fund.
KOTAM, which has been operating aircraft funds and ship funds so far, plans to diversify its operating assets into the overseas infrastructure market, which is an excellent asset that does not lose its value in the face of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) crisis.
KOTAM said, “Based on the understanding of domestic institutional investors, we plan to present the preferred investment direction of domestic investors to ISQ in the future.”
Meanwhile, ISQ is a US-based alternative investment private equity fund with an operating fund of 14 billion dollars (about 15 trillion won).
